Electrical Manager

The electrical manager supervises and leads the design and electrical team to effectively deliver technical solutions.

Our Client is a well-respected and reputable leader in providing systems integration, specialising in process control and automation solutions in a wide range of industries and applications.

Their team build, program, install and service both new and retrofit systems. Their core competencies include software development, electrical design, manufacture of control panels and switchboards, installation, commissioning, and project management services.

 

About the Role

The Electrical Manager must have a minimum of 5 years experience with electrical design in automation. The Electrical Manager will supervise and lead the design and electrical team to effectively deliver technical solutions which meet customer expectations whilst ensuring the highest degree of safety.

 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales support, with overall responsibility for all technical solutions.
  • submitted for new tenders, offers, and contracts.
  • Deliver innovative and cost-effective technical solutions/products.

  • Establish good engineering disciplines and promote new ways of thinking that will produce best in class automation drafting and documentation
  • Responsibility for detailed documentation including but not limited to design input requirements, specifications, test protocol, installation/service procedures and validation reports.
  • Travel to customer sites to audit, evaluate, or support project needs
  •  Strict implementation of WHS and QA Systems
  • Ensure all customers receive an exceptional customer experience, educate customers, and nurture the relationship, identifying opportunities for further growth

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an electrical design role in automation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation.
  • Strong time management, including self and resource planning.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical design and installation practices.
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment and schedule.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate solutions with a proactive approach.
  • Understands available technology in manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of safety legislation and quality standards.
  • Advanced computer skills – office, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of control systems, including PLC and SCADA.
  • Ability to balance outcomes for customers, the team, and the business.
  • Support the electrical engineering team delivery as required.
